History of TK Chvaletice

Our club was found on Februar 6th 1982 and was called ATK SK ROH Přelouč. Petr Beneš and Dana Pavelková have found the club. In the beginning there were only seven dance couples in the club. They trained Mondays and Thursdays in KVT Přelouč. The club moved to the civil office in Přelouč in 1983. In 1982 were category E couples very successful. They have got to the nation-wide round. ATK has taken a constant part in district and regional rounds since 1983.

The club took part in International Dance Festival in Ústí nad Labem for the first time in 1992 where it placed 7th-8th through 18 formations with a Latin American formation called “LAT MIX “in semi-final.

1994 – 1st championship ball formations – 5th place with valse called “Valčík s Abbou”.

The club presented itself in International competition in Latin formation for the first time (the first round). In September 1997 the club moved to Chvaletice and changed its name to TK Chvaletice. It became a civil association in November 1997. The leaders are Dana Pavelková, Petr Beneš and Marta Pšeničková.

TK has taken a constant part in Championships of the Czech republic in standard formations in Ústí nad Labem. TK placed 3rd with a “MODRÝ SEN” formation in 2001 for the first time.
